It has been some time...

Well Jaiden is now THREE...Can you believe it? We can hardly believe it ourselves. We had his third birthday party here at the house last weekend and everything went great.

I am just getting over being sick as well as Jaiden. I think Dusty finally got our sickness and is dealing with that right now.

I am still working for ILB in Riverside and Dusty is still working for SCE.

He just accepted a new job title with them which he is to start at the end of the month so we shall see how that goes.

Christmas was great with family and friends. We got to spend Xmas eve with just my dad and brother and his Fiance - Yes he finally asked Kristina the big question and she said YES!! Then on Christmas day we had breakfast at our house and then went to Dustys moms house for dinner and gifts. It was a nice day all the way around.

Looking ahead we don't have much planned, with Dusty starting the new job we won't be able to take much time off at first which is fine we will just have weekend plans which is fine with us.

I have the best husband in the world! The most amazing son in the world. The greatest friends in the world, and the most loving family in the world.

I have already gotten some gifts, a ton of texts and phone calls!

I am so thankful to God for everything that I have in my life.

Thinking...

I have been thinking a lot lately about a lot of things...Sounds funny I know but that is one of the reasons I love this blog, I can get my thoughts out on paper (well at least in front of me sort of) and some how it always makes me feel better.

Jaiden is growing up WAY to fast. Now when I ask him to do something he tells me, "Mommy, just one minute." Yes it is cute but I am sure he really understands what that means because he wants to finish whatever he is doing and then we can go or do what we need to do. Very sad to see that he is almost 3 and growing up so much.

Work is work and of course there is not much right now with the way the economy is that I can do about that. I just have to come to realize that it takes more to be negative than it does to be positive, so I try and do my best and chuck my tired unhappy attitude at the door and get done what I need to get done during my 8 hours here at this desk.

Marriage is WORK. No one ever told me it was going to be easy so I never thought that; but it is a lot of work to remain calm in all parts of a marriage and a family. Marriage is everything I wanted it to be and more, I love Dusty with all of my heart and I am so glad we are together each and every day of our lives and if we go a day without seeing each other because of work or other things it just seems odd, but we are two different people and we do have some different views on things! Just workin thru it. We will make it, I am not worried just takes time.

Family - now that is a whole different subject. I love our family of 3. Do I want one day for it to be a family of 4 - YES I do - is it time right now, only God knows that and when it is His time it will be right. I love that Dusty and I have created such an amazing little guy in Jaiden. He does have parts of both of us that is for sure. I love to plan things for the three of us to do, along with other family or even alone. We are going camping this weekend with Dusty's sister and her family and I can not wait. Jaiden loves to be with his cousins. On the other side of that, I love to do things just the 3 of us. I know Jaiden loves to spend time with mommy and daddy.

Money - WOW where do I begin. I truly believe that it is the root of all evil. No matter what you do, you always NEED it for the most part. The only thing that is really free to do is breathe air. Even taking Jaiden to the park costs us gas to get there, ya know what I mean. We do the best we can with what we have and we will make it, I just hate that everything we need or want costs us money. And then of course there are the unexpected items that come up that you have to take care also.

Friends. That is something that I am so incredibly THANKFUL for. I would not ask for better friends. I have the most amazing best friend in the world. We talk almost every day and I would not change that for the world. I know that I can turn to her for anything. I am so thankful that God has given me the friends that I have in my life. At one point I never really knew why I was in the places I am until I made a friend or someone or something impacted my life and then it hit me, THIS is why God has me here. I have met great friends from work, which as you all know is a place I do not want to be. I am so thankful that God placed me in the building for this time in my life. It is amazing the people that have come in and out of my life just because of work. I know that the two friends I have in my life now because of work are amazing. We recently spent a weekend in Vegas together and it was such a great trip. No stress, no fighting, no arguing. Overall it was just a nice trip. I know that God will take care of me and the people that he brings in and out of my life and truly I am so blessed.

All in all I have nothing to complain about in my life. I love my family and my friends and I am SO thankful to have a job even if it is not one that I really care for at the present time in my life. I know like I said there is a reason I am here and even if I don't know why now, God does and that is all that matters.

Work...Work...Work...

Work is going OK

That is all I can say right now

A guy that works for us is leaving on Friday and it is going to be SO hard for me to see him go. He has been there since before I started and when I started working there he took me under his wing and helped me to learn everything that was expected of me - Such a great help

I know for sure I will be crying come Friday afternoon.

We went to lunch today with him and I was crying at lunch - such an emotional mess, I am.

I just wish people never had to leave because it is so hard to more on without them.

Contentment

I have two reasons for writing this blog about contentment.

con·tent·ment –noun - the state of being contented; satisfaction; ease of mind

My first reason is my Daily Devotions, I get from Leah Evaschuk, each and every morning in my emails.

The second reason is this is something that I am dealing with.

Here is Leah's Daily Devotion on this:
"I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in and and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do everything through him who gives me strength." Colossians 4:12-13
My Thoughts: Being content is a battle isn't it? Sometimes we say "Oh when this happens I will be content, oh when we get this bill paid then I will be content, oh when I get this item I will be content." That's not being content. It is possible to be content regardless of what you have or what you have achieved. It is possible to have all or nothing and your contentment still remain the same. Contentment doesn't come with what you have, if you always desire something then you will never be content, and not being content stirs up an unsettling soul. The ability to not be content leaves rooms for idols, and in turn only causes destruction. Not searching or finding contentment will make your heart heavy and it will be so hard to see all the beauty that you do have in your life. The secret to contentment is trusting God.
Pray & Reflect: What do you do to insure your contentment in your life? What could you do better? How are you trusting God in your life? Pray for these things, pray for each other, pray that we all may be content in every situation not asking for more, but say "thank you thank you Lord for what you have given"
I hope all of you have a wonderfully blessed day! I challenge you today to find contentment, when you start to say "oh if only I had, or I wish" take a step back and say "No, THANK YOU Lord for all you have provided, I will trust you, for you know my needs, you will never forsake me."


This was the email I got from Leah on Wednesday of this week, and it really hit me. I found myself through out the day saying, "Thank you Lord for all you have provdied for me and I am content."

It is so true that so many people go thru life each and every day saying, "I would be perfectly content if I just had this or that."

One of those persons is ME. I really needed this Daily from Leah to show me that there are so many things I already have in my life that I need to be content about. The life and love I have is enough to allow me to be content in this world. All the other things are just material items.

More than anything this post was just for me to share with you the great work one daily devotion has done in my life in just the past few days.

Look in your life and see all the things you already have that make your life content. Thank God each and every day for those things. We all have needs and God will provide.

Gina's Baby Shower

Today was Gina's Baby Shower for Isabella Renee' - It was a lot of fun - a lot of our friends were there to spend the time with us and open great gifts - we truly are blessed to have such great friends. I can not wait until June when Isabella comes- Photos of the baby shower to come soon.

Why care so much -

First off I am not saying I don't care and I am not guilty of this but at the same time GEEZ come on...

Why do people, anyone in the world, care what others are doing or how they dress how what political party they are a part of? Now I know what people are going to say - I know that is the way the world works and that is how it have been for years but Geez really - people feel like they need to knock people down to make themselves feel better?

I am just as guilty as the next person who has thought about someone else and what theya re wearing or not wearing for that matter but now I have started to think about it and I am just so frustrated about it...

If I do not have a size 2 body and do not want to wear a certain style of clothing it has nothing to do with what type of person I am.

If I am a Democrat and you are a Republican it does not mean we can not be friends (happens all the time - my best friend and I are different and still get along)

If you make a ton of money a year and I don't, don't rub it in my face or think you are better than me. I might love my love paying job -

None of the above statements are true or false about my PERSONALLY I am just saying in general. Except for the part about my my friend and I....

Really take time to think about how much you think about so and so wearing this or eating that or working there and just let it go. Think about yourself and your own life and Go Forward and Praise GOD in all that you do.

Just wondering -

First off I am not even looking for anyone to really answer this, I am just writing to write...

WHY do people feel like they can just have things handed to them and not really work for things? I get so frustrated when people go through life thinking that this world and everyone else the know owe them something? Hello people everyone else works (either at work or at home - home probably being hard with kids) also and puts in their fair share into this world and you people walk around like because of your age or your previous ways in life you are owed soemthing and this really upsets me....Just grow up (even though you should have done that a long time ago) and realize that this world does not OWE you anything, if you want something you need to work for it or save for it - it is not a free world...

Jaiden's 2nd Halloween

Well tonight was Jaiden's 2nd Halloween and it was a great night. He ws Thomas the Tank Engine. John his cousin was Woody and his other cousin Jimmie was a monkey. We went and saw our friends Patty and Dave and then we went trick or treating with John, Jimmie, Nicole, Dusty, My mom, Me, and Lisa. It was a great night and Jaiden did get some ok candy that I might let him eat. See the picture below.

Women of Faith

This past weekend I went to Women of Faith with Gina (my best friend) Renee (Gina's mom) and Aline (Gina's Grandma) and let me tell you I had the best time. I think that Women of Faith is a great thing for all women. It is just a chance to hang out with around 15,000 women in the Honda Center in Anaheim, CA and laugh and sing songs and watch concerts and just listen to stories about different women's lives regarding what God has done for them. I got to go this year by chance but I am hoping in the future I can go each year because this is something I really enjoyed!

Fires!!

Well the Oak Glen fire started on Sunday and we could have had issues from that so Dusty and I stayed home from work on Monday to pack up some things, then Monday afternoon a new fire broke out in Yucaipa and we had to be mandatory evacuated Monday night at around 8pm - it was very scary to think that we might not have a house to go back too. Dusty and I and all the family and animals ended up in different places which is very scary but we are going to be ok I am sure. Still as I sit here and type this I do not know if we have a house I will know something hopefully today. Please pray for us and all of the people around us and also all of the fire fighters and police working on this.

Twilight - FINISHED


So mainly Robyn and Amber will be happy to know I have finally, yes finally finished Twilight. I know it took me forever but I just loved it, I mean it is so good and really addicting for sure. I also know now of three more people that are reading it just because of me which is funny. Well I can not wait now to go and see the movies - yes you are reading this right I have not seen any of them and I want to see Twilight before New Moon comes out in November

Best Friends & Angel Games


Last night I went to the Angel game with my best friend Gina - David (her husband) could not go so Gina picked me up at the hospital after I got to see my nephew - see other posts - and then we went - yes they lost which does stink big time, but we got to see four hom runs hit and also got a free ticket for a $1 dollar CA lottery ticket when we walked in and a free Del Taco taco when we walked out because of the home runs hit - all in all it was a good night - Yes I am tired but well worth a girls night out with my best friend.

Vegas Vegas Vegas

Well we went to Vegas this past weekend with Dusty's cousins from Missouri. We had a blast, we left on Thursday and came back on Sunday. It is always great to see family that lives that far away and of course we spent some money, did not win anything but just had a good time - And we are going back in August for a friends 21st birthday!
